About Us

Sukkar started at home.

Long before it became a brand, scent was simply part of daily life for us. Homes were perfumed before guests arrived. Incense burned quietly in the background. Not to impress anyone, but to make people feel welcome.

Growing up in Northern Nigeria, we learned early that fragrance was a form of care. It softened a space. It set a mood. It stayed long after conversations ended.

We began blending oils, incense, and home sprays for ourselves. Over time, people noticed. They asked what we were wearing. They commented on how their homes felt after using our scents. How the fragrance lingered gently, without being overwhelming.

A Scent is more than something you wear; it’s how moments are remembered

How We Began

The moment that shaped Sukkar came when we were asked to scent a bridal home. In our culture, this is a meaningful tradition one where fragrance helps turn a new space into something familiar and warm. The response was immediate and emotional. That was when we realised this wasn’t just personal anymore. It was something meant to be shared.

Today, Sukkar is created by sisters who blend memory, heritage, and everyday living into scents for the body and home. Every product is made in small batches and guided by one simple rule:

If we wouldn’t wear it ourselves, we won’t offer it to you.

We’re not interested in loud fragrance or fast trends.
We care about how a scent feels on your skin, in your home, and in the moments you share with others.
